MasterCraft Boats UK launches superyacht watersports tender range

Traditionally offered with petrol engines, the performance sports boats range from 6.10 metres to 7.75 metres and are now available with an exclusive conversion to a Yanmar inboard diesel engine

MasterCraft Boats UK is launching a range of bespoke superyacht watersports tenders with inboard diesel engine packages. Traditionally offered with petrol engines, the performance sports boats range from 6.10 metres to 7.75 metres and are now available with an exclusive conversion to a Yanmar inboard diesel engine. The package also includes bespoke lifting solutions with options tailored to meet the widest possible range of requirements.

Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK says: "Having worked with many superyacht owners, captains and industry professionals over the years we've come to recognise the benefits of a dedicated diesel watersports tender. This is not only beneficial from a safety perspective but also gives the ability to refuel on board, a significant benefit to superyachts spending long periods of time offshore."

Yanmar was chosen as the engine partner for the project because the EPA Tier 3-compliant 8LV engine is both quiet, smooth and compact and with a 992lb dry weight, offers good power-to-weight ratio.

Hardicker went on to say: "Momentum has been building for over 18 months and we decided that now is the right time to formalise our offering with a dedicated team working on the watersports tender project. We will be exhibiting at Monaco Yacht Show for the first time in September and expect to achieve a high level of interest."

The bespoke package is exclusive to MasterCraft Boats UK which is working with MasterCraft Boat Company in the US to handle enquiries worldwide under the Watersports Superyacht Tenders division.

MasterCraft introduced its saltwater series range of boats over ten years ago. The deep V hulls give a smooth ride and generous seating layout offering comfort that is combined with a luxurious finish. The X55 is the largest tender in the range at 7.75 meters. It comes complete with a wet bar, on board head and a bow thruster for ease of maneuverability.

"MasterCraft boats offer the ultimate in fun on the water, whether for waterskiing, wakeboarding or the thrill of riding in a purpose built luxury performance boat. The inboard diesel option means that we can now offer a real alternative to superyachts wanting to enjoy the MasterCraft experience. This is a particularly attractive option for charter operators, giving them a commercial edge in their tenders and toys offering," claimed Hardicker.

MasterCraft Boat Company was established in the US in 1968. MasterCraft Boats has been established in the UK since 1978.

The Watersports Superyacht Tenders team will be at berth A9 at the Monaco Yacht Show.
