With Rob wowing the masses with his American Stars and Stripes dream boats, the Birdsall boy's of Peter and Ian were all over them, and by the end of the weekend were signed up to become European Distributor's and the first 4 boats were ordered!!
Over the course of the next 2 decades, MasterCraft went on to become the worlds best selling, best perfoming, best quality ski boats bar none!! Pulling more events than all other ski boat companies combined!!!
The Birdsall's from their location in Knottingley had secured 20 European Dealers and commanded over 75% of the UK Ski Boat market!!
So into the 90's and MasterCraft branched out into the bigger open water boats, and pioneered the breakthrough of wakeboarding with the birth of the MasterCraft X-Star, a boat designed for attitude and altitude!! Whilst still managing to develop and produce the Worlds Record Breaking Pro Star 190 ski boat!
Now MasterCraft GB are the dedicated UK importer owned and managed by the team of Simon Waring, Ian Plaice and Philip Plaice. All former employees of the Birdsall's they completed the buy out to enable the UK to be focused on 100% in house and allow Ian Birdsall to branch out into his role as International Sales Manager for MasterCraft USA!
